My name is D'Ericka Stevenson, and I am the MUSHY Guru...

I developed MUSHY Guru as a platform for sharing and helping you to create Meaningful Useful Stories that Help You and Meaningful Useful Solutions that Heal You (MUSHY!). These stories will come in a variety of formats, but my ultimate goal is to share God’s love with every person I reach, helping you find comfort, guidance, and healing through the power of storytelling.
I am no stranger to storytelling and script development. I am the second half of the talented mother/daughter playwright team, Jan and D. We're known for our national stage play, "A Fool for Love, produced by Marvelous Entertainment.
I have also been blessed to serve as a 2021-2023 MegaMind Media mentee and have earned several IMDB credits through my work on productions directed by amazing and talented women like Megan Goode, Tichina Arnold, Natura Naughton, and Vivica Fox.
I am a woman of God, a wife, a mother, and a lover of stories and the written word. I know what it's like to struggle with juggling all of the roles we play in life, and I know what it's like to feel stuck and have no idea how to get moving again in the right direction. I've been there, and I am on my way out. My goal as the MUSHY Guru is to help you find your way, as well, and I believe that through words—in all their forms—we can touch hearts, inspire change, and reveal the beauty of Christ’s love in our everyday lives.

The MUSHY Guru podcast and brand are designed to share our stories and engage in conversations that promote mental health wellness for people from all walks of life. Though, I am pursuing a master’s degree in Mental Health and Clinical Counseling and hold a certification as a SYMBIS (Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts and Up to Five Years After You Said I Do) Marriage Coach, I am really just here to provide a safe space where you and I can talk about some of the challenges that may have you feeling stuck and explore helpful next steps that can get you back on the right track.

I know that this passage isn't a new one for many of you, but it's hard to remember when you're dealing with life's biggest challenges and wondering when you will see the fulfillment of God's promise in your life.
